Lands of Ruin is a skirmish scale,near-future, Sci-Fi game that utilizes the recent advances intechnology to bring more realistic, faster-paced, and deeper gamingexperience to the already mature tabletop strategy game genre.Games are usually played with two players, both with a tablet, andcommanding 2 to 10 characters each.This is the Early Access Beta release of Lands of Ruin. It is fullyplayable, though an updated UI and additional features arecurrently in development. Your patience, understanding and feedbackare much appreciated.The Command Console tablet app merges the tabletop battle withfamiliar aspects of MMO's. This app features all the rules andtutorials you will need to start playing the game. Most playersrequire only two turns to learn to play well. This is because thetablet app allows us to add, calculate, and track an immense levelof realism and effects without distracting or overwhelming newplayers. However, Lands of Ruin is first and foremost a tabletopminiature game, so players of traditional wargames will find mostof the concepts and mechanics very familiar.Lands of Ruin unique features:- AI controlled NPCs- Environmental effects- Server-side team management- Tutorial Mode- Simulated simultaneous action phasesAll you need to play is a tabletop with miniature terrain, a tabletrunning the Command Console, 2 or more dice, a ruler, and enoughminiatures for both players.
